Air Filter La Crescenta

Toyota Air Filter

Air filters trap dirt and contaminants before they reach your engine where they can cause wear and reduce performance.

Genuine Toyota Air Filters are engineered specifically for your Toyota to provide exceptional filtering efficiency, improved engine performance, and noise-dampening capabilities.

                                                   Features include:

  • Needle-punch construction and triple-layer filtering give Genuine Toyota Air Filters their superior ability to trap and retain dirt and dust.
  • Polyurethane resin frames make for a better fit, thereby helping to seal out dirt and reduce vibration noise.

Toyota recommends replacing the engine air filter every 30,000 miles or 36 months. If you operate your Toyota under special operating conditions, we recommend inspection every 15,000 miles or 18 months.
To replace your Toyota Air Filter see this  Toyota Air Filter Replacement Brochure PDF

Needed To Change Your Toyota Air Filter

  • Genuine Toyota Air Filter Element
  •  Rag or Paper Towels

NOTE: Refer to your vehicle maintenance schedule for replacement intervals. When driving in dusty conditions, replace the filter element more frequently to ensure proper performance and fuel economy. CAUTION: NEVER drive with the air filter removed. Backfiring may cause a fire under the hood, and harmful dirt could be drawn into the engine resulting in possible damage.

  1. ALWAYS REMOVE THE KEYS FROM THE IGNITION WHEN WORKING ON THE VEHICLE. SEE CAUTION ON BACK PANEL.
  2. REMOVE THE AIR FILTER COVER WINGNUT(S) ? This only applies to vehicles with carburetors (see photo).
  3. RELEASE THE RETAINING CLIPS ? Release each retaining clip around the rim of the air filter cover for both carbureted and fuel-injected systems
  4. DISCONNECT ANY HOSE(S) FROM THE AIR FILTER COVER ? If required, loosen the hose clamp and disconnect any hoses attached to the air filter cover. Be sure to label the hoses to aid in the correct re installation. WARNING: Severe and costly damage may result if airflow meter screws are removed. NOTE: Certain EFI vehicles have an airflow meter (see photo in PDF link above). It?s necessary to disconnect the air flow meter electrical connector in order to remove the air filter housing and to remove and replace the air filter. During the removal, DO NOT remove or unscrew the air flowmeter screws.
  5. REMOVE THE COVER ? Lift the cover and set it aside.
  6. REMOVE AND INSPECT FILTER ELEMENT ? Lift out the element and inspect its surface. NOTE: If the element is just moderately dusty, it may be cleaned by blowing compressed air from the inside outward or from the downside upward. NEVER wash or oil the element.
  7. CLEAN INSIDE THE FILTER CASE ? Wipe out the inside of the filter case and filter cover with a rag or paper towel.
  8. PLACE A NEW ELEMENT IN THE FILTER CASE ? Be sure that it is properly centered with the correct side up. NOTE: It is strongly advised to use a Genuine Toyota air filter as a replacement.
  9. PLACE THE AIR FILTER COVER IN POSITION ? Align the arrow on the cover with the arrow on the air filter case (if so marked). WARNING: If the air filter housing assembly has been removed, be sure to put it back on correctly. If it is not correctly installed, engine damage could result. Reconnect the airflow meter electrical connector if it has been disconnected.
  10. FASTEN THE RETAINING CLIPS ? Hook each clip over the edge of the cover and press down on the clip to secure it. REINSTALL THE WINGNUT(S) if required.

"I have had the best experience"

I have had the best experience with Bob Smith Toyota, "Especially my sales agent Shawn". Every time I called he answered the phone very polite to me as were all the people at the dealership they spoke to me and told me what was going to happen and Todd in finance was very helpful. It seems to be a family environment. I will share my experience. Never before had I seen such a greeting in a car dealer ship.

"I went online to check"

I went online to check what kind of sale Bob Smith was having. Then I received an email from Hank, I came in to the store and talked to him, he was very honest and helpful, not pushing me to buy a car him right now.  He told me to take my time and think about it. I did now I am driving a new car.
