Stronger and More Capable 

A notable change is the increase in power and performance capabilities. Although a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine is still the standard power plant, it is now capable of outputting 134 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. And, with a combined fuel economy of 47 MPG, this sedan is powerfully efficient, too. 

Another large change is the number of models. Unlike the previous year’s hybrid which was only offered on one model, it now comes on three different models. Two of them can be paired with Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive to provide improved traction. 

Modernized Technology 

Just like the Toyota Highlander, updated tech is a highlight within the interior of any new Toyota Corolla Hybrid. An eight-inch center touchscreen captures attention while a revised 4.2-inch multi-information display sits within the instrument panel. The Toyota Corolla Hybrid XLE also includes a full seven-inch digital gauge cluster.
