One major enhancement coming to the Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5+ System is in its Pre-Collision System. As a feature that included Pedestrian Detection last year, it will now include both Intersection Support as well as stronger detection features, which can help spot bicyclists during both daytime and low-light conditions. As for the Intersection Support, it can detect and provide audio and visual cues when making a left turn in case of an oncoming pedestrian or vehicle. Emergency Steering, which is used to stabilize driver steering maneuvers within their lane while avoiding an object, will also be added.
Even after the Pre-Collision System enhancement, the 2021 Toyota Camry will provide more features inside its safety system. A Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is another updated feature. The enhanced system allows the vehicle to monitor space between a vehicle in front of you, even if it comes to a complete stop. Not only that, but it can also maintain distance from a stopped position back to regular speeds. Beyond the package, it’s important to note that the available Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert feature will return, being standard on XLE and CSE models.
